Abstract

The feasibility of using mixed liquid and paper composite insulation in high-voltage transformers was analyzed. The effects of various specific properties of the insulating liquid on the dielectric behavior of the transformer insulation were determined. The influence of temperature and aging on the dielectric behavior of the insulating mixture was also determined. It was found that the impregnation of the paper with a mixture of 10 to 50% of ester liquid with mineral oil increased the dissipation factor and relative permittivity.
