Description
Students learn about sustainable and regenerative energy supply systems and concepts as well as development trends in electric power engineering. Furthermore, the operating behaviour of the novel equipment, their interaction and integration into the existing grid is presented. The decentralized structures and possibilities of controlling decentralized generation (energy management) are discussed. The individual lectures deal with the topics:
- wind energy
- offshore networks
- integration of renewable energies
- FACTS
- Energy storage systems
- Superconducting equipment
- Congeneration units (combined heat and power)
- Smart grids
- E-mobility and charging infrastructure
