Description
After successful completion of the module, students can:
- mathematically describe symmetrical and asymmetrical three-phase systems and their equipment (generators, motors, back-up networks, lines, transformers, reactors, capacitors)
- apply the symmetrical components method for converting symmetrical three-phase systems into three single-phase systems to electrical power supply systems
- describe, parameterise and apply the equivalent circuits of the equipment in balanced components
- apply the method for calculating symmetrical and asymmetrical shunt and series faults
